Luke began his acting career at the age of five, appearing as Mel Gibson's son in "We Were Soldiers." Not knowing how to read yet, he simply recited the pledge of allegiance-a move that would land him the role. He was also cast as "Stevie Dewberry" in the family film "Because of Winn-Dixie" at age eight, after choosing to audition with a toothpick in his mouth. The choice set him apart from the hundreds of boys vying for the role. The director, Wayne Wang, loved the idea and even used it in the film. In 2006, Luke was cast in Walden Media's "How to Eat Fried Worms" as the main character of "Billy Forrester." However, it wasn't until he was a freshman in high school that Luke realized that acting was what he wanted to do for the rest of his life, so in 2012 the family permanently moved to Los Angeles.
His past TV credits include the television pilots "Life on the Water," the WB's revival of "Family Affair" starring Tim Curry and Gary Cole, and the Disney Channel pilots "Madison High" and "Zombies and Cheerleaders." Other credits include starring in the Disney Channel's original movies "Minutemen" and "Girl vs. Monster." Luke's other past motion picture credits include playing the role of autistic teen "Alan Wheddon" in "Dear John." - Voluptuous and full figured Anne Kunde burst onto the Hollywood scene in the 1920s. The multi-talented Kunde proved to be a minx both on and off screen though she eventually settled down to a life of wedded matrimony with a tall and statuesque man by the name of Al Kunde. With her natural "fresh off of the farm" look led her and her husband being cast in many scenes that required your stereotypical hillbilly types. She was the belle of the ball and the jewel of the dance floor and many of her fellow extras were envious of her husband.
By the late 1940s, the hour glass shaped Kunde started to show her age a little more and moved into a new category of worship among film's most dedicated researchers. It took one dedicated researcher years to pin a name to this apple shaped beauty but once her identify was established, it proved that many casting directors knew the name of Anne Kunde.
Mrs. Kunde went from those stereotypical square dances to playing the parts of gentle prison matrons and loving and caring mothers. It was in her role in Hollywood Barn Dance where Anne's acting range truly showed. It was her touching performance as Ernest Tubb's mother that brought her to the forefront of one researcher harem.
Always willing to adapt to any situation, Anne transitioned into television with her usual effortless grace that only she could exude. She could be seen sitting on a jury in The Untouchables, playing a townswoman on a Gunsmoke, or playing her usual hillbilly role. When she passed away in 1960s, she left a void in the hearts of film researchers everywhere but they can look back with great joy knowing their goddess will live on forever through her on and off screen contributions to film. - Dante Hoagland was born on 8 February 2003 in Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey, USA. Earl Newton started his career in a small Florida town, shooting movies on a one-chip digital camera with friends and family.
Early on, several rejections from film school nearly convinced him to seek another career. But after a serious car accident almost took his life, Newton pushed himself into filmmaking on his own terms.
His first film post-accident was "Fall of a Saga," a satirical send-up of George Lucas and the Star Wars prequels. The film was well-received by audiences, eventually building into a national tour encompassing more than 12 cities, including a standing-room-only presentation at Comic-Con in 2004. Later, Film Threat would list it among the greatest Star Wars-inspired films ever made.
Critics praised Saga's Twilight Zone influences, and in 2007, Newton took the concept one step further. He released "Stranger Things" (2007), the first HD science-fiction anthology series to distribute its content over the Internet. The show took an alternate-world look at the reality we see around us, and featured stories from a number of successful genre authors (including New York Times bestseller Scott Sigler and five-time Stoker Award winner Gary Braunbeck). Stranger Things became an instant hit, boasting thousands of subscribers before the first episode dropped, and expanding by tens of thousands in the months that followed.
In 2008, Stranger Things was picked up for television distribution by Illusion TV, making it the first science fiction show in history to move from the Internet to television. The following year, the show was nominated for the Ray Bradbury Award, for excellence in science fiction motion pictures.
